Medieval Falchion with Scabbard | Arab Swords

Medieval Falchion with Scabbard | Arab Swords

The falchion is a single-edged, one-handed sword of European roots that resembles the Persian scimitar or the Chinese dao in design. The weapon was a cross between an axe and a sword, with the weight and force of an axe and the adaptability of a sword. Falchions were employed from the 11th century until the late 16th century and came in a variety of shapes.

The blade of this falchion is constructed of steel and is heavy and blunt. Brass is used for the skillfully wrought curving guard and the spherical pommel. Black leather wraps around the grip.

A leather sheath with a brass chape, mound fitting, and carrying rings will be included with the blade.
