Viking Sword Suontaka

The original Suontaka sword was found in the grave of a woman in Finland. The tombs date back to 1100 AD. however, the shape of the sword suggests a much earlier date of origin, possibly the middle of the 10th century AD. Our impressive replica of this piece features a highly elaborate pommel with knotted decoration on the guard, pommel and inlays. Everything is bathed in rich copper. 1085 carbon steel blade with full tang.

The sword is completed with a rich leather sheath and matching copper fittings and is completed with a baldric for wearing this powerful piece.
