11th Century Battle-Ready Viking Sword with leather Scabbard | Battle Ready Swords

11th Century Battle-Ready Viking Sword with leather Scabbard | Battle Ready Swords

Replica of a late Viking Age single-handed sword from the 11th century, battle-ready.

This sword is entirely made by hand. Heat-treated, malleable cast iron is used for the guard and the complex pommel. The pommel is hand-riveted to the full-tang blade. The hilt is wrapped in leather. The blade is made of high-quality spring steel that has been tempered to a Rockwell hardness of around 48 HRC and features a characteristic fuller that provides remarkable flexibility while reducing weight. For safety, the blade's edges are dull and the tip is rounded.

Two straps with buckles are featured on the lovely leather-wrapped wooden scabbard. These can be attached to the straps of your own sword belt, for example.
