Starting around the 3rd century the Romans began adopting the long, double-edged swords called Spathas, which were originally only used by the Germanic peoples.
This replica is a reconstruction of a 4th century spatha.
The hilt is carved from animal bone. The blade has two fullers. Delivery includes a leather-wrapped wooden scabbard with authentic brass ornamentation.
