Medieval Sword Crecy Type | Medieval Swords

The medieval Crecy War Sword has a conventional thru-tang, peened pommel handle construction that was meticulously constructed to exact specifications. The forged hollow-ground blade has a conspicuous central ridge that runs the length of the blade and supports the cutting edge. The stainless steel pommel counterbalances the cord-wrapped leather grip for comfortable single-handed fighting. The stainless steel arched guard pays homage to the English longbow soldiers who triumphed at the battlegrounds of King Edward III of England. A leather-wrapped wooden scabbard and a stainless chape are included with the Crecy Sword.

The Battle of Crecy is considered one of the most important battles of the Hundred Years War and one of the English's most significant triumphs over the French. The Crecy War Sword by Kingston Arms represents a significant amount of work and research into the specifications of single hand swords of the period, primarily from museum artifacts and tapestries, despite the fact that its success was mostly due to wood rather than steel.
