Medieval Battle Ready Knightly Sword | Combat Swords

Medieval Battle Ready Knightly Sword | Combat Swords

A battle-ready replica of a one-handed high-medieval knightly blade. Its most distinctive characteristic is the shape of its pommel, which is a version of the brazilnut-shaped pommel (classified as 13th century by Oakshott).

This sword is entirely made by hand. Cast iron is used for the guard and the brazilnut-shaped pommel. The spring steel blade is forged to the hilt and peened with the pommel after being oil-tempered to about 48° Rockwell. Leather covers the wooden grip. The blade features a noticeable fuller that provides flexibility as well as lightness. The blade's tip and edges are rounded and blunt.

A leather-wrapped wooden scabbard with a wooden belt loop is included with the sword (max. belt width: 5 cm)
