The hand-forged and folded K120C powder steel blade on Hanwei's Kami Tanto features a hand-engraved "Fudo" Horimono and Bo-Hi. The folding technique provides a beautiful hada, or grain pattern, along the blade, which is enhanced by the hamon.
The tsuka is made of the highest grade ray skin, while the sageo is made of the finest Japanese silk. All of the fuchi, kashira, kojiri, koiguchi, and kurigata are fashioned of blackened bronze with relief ornamentation and selective copper, silver, and gold detailing. On the fuchi, the Kami, or Guardian Warriors, are represented.
The habaki is made up of two sections: a copper inner portion and a gold-plated brass outer section.
The saya has a black ring-carved part at the mouth and is heavily lacquered in red.
